Dre's Bits

-The St. Louis Blues had a great start to the year but now they suck all of a sudden. I'm guessing it has something to do with thefact that their players are all dead. Demitra is out with an eye injury, Pronger is having arthroscopic knee surgery, Hill and Handzus both have abdominal injuries, Bartecko reinjured his ankle, and the goalie sucks.
-On a much brighter note, the Blues will make the playoffs for like the thousandth year in a row and they have as good a chance as anyone to win the cup. Of course we need to make some deal for a 3rd defender before the trade deadline. The injuries need to STOP as soon as possible too. MacInnis cannot log 35 minutes of icetime at his age. He needs to be fresh for the playoffs.
-The goaltending situation looks terrible. Turek currently cannot stop a beach ball, and Johnson needs some work in net to prove that he can take over as our true number one goalie.
-My favorite player in the world and hero has to be the best defenseman in the world...Chris Pronger (pictured below). Anyone who disagrees that Pronger is the greatest doesn't know ANYTHING about hockey. Night after night, he shows up for games and without him back there, the Blues cannot function properly. Just watch the next 4-6 weeks without Pronger and see the Blues struggle to play .500 hockey.
-Al MacInnis has the hardest slapshot in the world. If you disagree, try standing in front of his windup. He's broken more bones than anyone else has and any goalie will tell you that their hearts freeze when MacInnis is winding up.
-Rumors are saying that the Blues are interested in either Teemu Selanne or Keith Tkachuk. They are both great players but which one of the two do the Blues need? I think K.T. would be a better pickup. He does the dirty job as well as score goals. I don't know if the Blues should give up Jochen Hecht for him though.
-The Blues are 31-10-4 which is the best start in team history. Isn't it hard to believe that they're playing like crap?
